Chai Time: My Thoughts on the G4 Leak-Sahen Rai

LG G4 Leak/Phone Arena

Good news nerds! The LG G4 which was supposed to be announced on April 28th was leaked today out of South Korea. The specs leaked seem a little sketchy because of a discrepancy between them saying a 13 mp camera and LG confirming 16 mps. But other than that, these images look beautiful and are seriously tempting me away from the M9 and S6. Here's a quick rundown of the announced specs and what I think of them.

Camera: This is the big one. A 16 mp shooter with an f/1.8 aperture lens is gonna result in some pretty beautiful pictures.

Certainly much better than the ones my Moto X can take right now.....

Plus that awesome 8mp selfie cam should give my Snapchat responses a lot more pop. It's funny, before installing Snapchat I had pretty much zero use for a selfie cam. But after like a month with it I suddenly need those 8 mps. Funny how things change like that.

Battery: Based on the leaks it seems like we're getting a removable 3000 Mah battery, which sounds great. I'm happy it's breaking the apparent trend of non-removable battery, cause as we all know that's not the way things should be going.

This should let the G4 last through most of the day, as long as the software and processor are well optimized.....

Processor: We're told that the G4 will come packed with a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core CPU. As long as it's properly optimised for the software, we should see some pretty good performance improvements over the G3. I'm sure most games and applications should run with pretty much no lag, as the 808 is looking to be pretty powerful sillicon.

Display: Last but not least we have the display. The leak shows a 5.5in "Quantum Display",which is presumably gonna be 1440 x 2560. While I disaprove of displays higher than 1080p, if the battery life on the phone is good I probably won't have too many complaints.
